hello ladies :)

i'm gonna sound like those old commercials but i just wanted to share this with you guys because i think this is just the best!

so what kind of make-up do you use (if any)?
do you like putting make-up on?
do you find yourself taking up to an hour or more trying to put that stuff on?

anyhow, i never liked make-up. i never used more than one item (lipgloss). then one day i found this awesome affordable cosmetic line.

"benefit"

has anyone heard of it?? it's awesome!! they have whimsical names such as "touch me and try to leave me" and "scandal sandal."

it takes me 15minutes or less to put make-up on and i feel and look refreshed and awake everyday.

i am applying to work for benefit, so wish me luck. i'm also almost a benefit expert. i bought practically everything from benefit. so, if anyone has any questions, ask away!

want a certain look? want to conceal those imperfections? :)

don't be shy now... ;)

I like the case design of the makeup line and the website. It reminds me of Sephora's. I have tried numerous brands of makeup and skincare. So far the only brand that is working for me is Shiseido. I been using it for a few years now. I afraid to change because my super sensitive skin.

yea shiseido is really good for asian skin. i've tried shiseido too and it's great! but i really love benefit now. it's so easy, and the fake it products are awesome and long lasting. benefit products are made from natural ingridients. i have super sensitive skin too. i'll break out if i use really cheap stuff.

when i put shesiedo makeup on, i could feel it. when i use benefit it's practically weightless. you should give it a try, it won't hurt ;) benefit counters are located in sephora and macy's department store.

btw, what's the general area you live by?

i do work for d&b, but now i work for benefit ;)

i'll be working at d&b only 1-2 days out of the week and full time at benefit. which means, i'll have no days off for awhile...doh*

i'm only keeping d&b job until they find someone to replace me. :)

i found this really neat site that has practically all the questions you've been asking about makeup. from how to do cat eyes to how to make small eyes look bigger, what color eye shadows to use with what you are wearing, etc...

mb, my sister used to work for benefit as a manager. And of course, I had the chance to try out all of their products. I can honestly say that I didn't like any of them. The ideas behind some items are really cool, but nah. Call me old fashioned if you will, I prefer shiseido and estee lauder. These two lines cover all my needs and make my skin look good.

Just to give you a heads up. Benefit is a difficult line to sell. Not many people are into it. You would do better at other lines. By the way, is benefit a counter or shelves at the location you will be working at? Counters are easier to sell, but shelves ... I wish you luck!

If you are into doing makeup, I suggest looking into the Kevin Aucoin series, Bobbi Brown's BEAUTY, and WOMAN'S FACE. If someone comes in for a makeover and is not satisfied with what you did, tell them nicely that you are doing the best you can with what you are given. You can't make miracles. :D

petiteling, thanks for your opinion. i understand that benefit isn't for everyone, but i truly love this line. i've tried everything else and it just didn't work for me. it's true, we can't work miracles, but if i can just get the word out, i'm pretty sure quite a few people will love it to. i haven't started working yet and so far i have 20 clients that are really into benefit.

i can honestly say this is my dream job. i can see myself doing this for quite some time. i'm working at a counter. i'll have my up and down days, but that's ok. i think of it like this, i need to talk to 10 people in order to get one person to the counter...and that's a-ok with me.

i'm ready for the challenge. ;)
