Faye Wong If Jacky Cheung is the King of Chinese Pop in the 90's, then Faye definitely is the equivalent Queen. First known as Shirley, Faye returned from studying in the United States with a radical change. Her musical style was completely different from the typical love theme found in the Chinese music industry, inspired by international stars like Bjork and later on, the Cocteau Twins.
