Twins Effect

Post by Contrai »

recently watched now, almost directly after Tsui Hark's Vampire Hunters aka The Era of Vampires, and...it was even worse.
gosh, i didn't expect a bland teenie romantic comedy, accidentally dealing with Vampires, thats why some minor references in fantasy action.
When looking at the directors Dante Lam [ Jiang Hu - Triad Zone, Hit Team [ and Donnie Yen [ Legend of the Wolf ], the pubertal result is even more disappointing and inscrutable.
At least the fans of the Twins are happy - big children faces on the screen -, and the followings of Buffy and Charmed should be quite pleased also, all others aren't.
The best actor is by far Anthony Wong, but he has nothing to do. Ekin Cheng does manage the best action scene - the only good action scene - quite well, but in other scenes he is just wooden as always. Edison Chen is just playing a wimp, and of all people Josie Ho makes the best appearance at the beginning and leaves the movie after her early death with the best scenes.
