Priscilla Chan announced that she'll retire from the scene. Aside from the poor sales of her comeback album "Love Ties", which only sold about 8,000 copies, Priscilla said that she has been disappointed with the Hong Kong music fans, who only appreciate the singer's looks and not their music.

Personally I completely agree with Priscilla. There hasn't been any decent singers from the past few years. Hong Kong music fans only care about the singer's look, but couldn't care less about the singing. Maybe the new generation simply has no idea of what good/decent music is.

Well, you also have to look at it this way: all of us are in the MTV generation now -- and what is more interesting in music videos? The looks... I suppose.

very good point there by Mikey. It's all visual now. And really, hasn't it been this way for many years? even when Priscilla was still in the scene few years back? I don't know what ticked her off to mention it now.
