Taken April 3, 2005 between Midnight and 2am
Camera used: Canon EOS Digital Rebel
The beach was almost completely pitch-black, especially when you have just arrived. It took about 5 minutes for the eyes to adjust to the darkness and be able to see a little bit. I'm pleasantly surprised the camera was able to take these shots. In fact, some of them actually look like sunset pictures...
A car was driving up the ramp...
North-West View towards Newport Beach, California
2nd pic is a view of the Corona Del Mar beach and its firepits. Third pic (Plant Silhouette) is one of my favorites.
Beach Homes on and near Ocean Blvd
Ghosts?

Guess what? In this picture:
I now know why the sky was so orange even though there was no moon in sight at all. The moon was approaching its lowest point in its orbit in decades. In other words, June would be the time when you can barely see the full moon, if at all (depending on where you live.) This creates that orange atmosphere on the horizon.
