Jama's still alive, i talked to him on icq a few days ago lol he's fine

Nganh's alive too lol even though she got some weight (so do I) lolol

Didn't we all gain weight the past few years? :)

One of my friends said that every New Year, there's usually a huge number of people going to the gym to work out for their New Year's Resolution. The sad fact: After about 1.5 months, the gym becomes almost empty again. Most people give up :(

How are you and your boyfriend doing? When's the wedding? :-D

Ah, I remember that Eddy was going to study abroad. Anybody know how he's doing? Is that maybe why he was asking about Long Distance Relationships in the Reflections of Life section?

wow, it was awesome, the best experience of my life.

before i left, i had a couple of goals;

- Improve my chinese
- Research China's real estate market
- Travel around by myself, must get to know China from a locals persepective

My trip started in beijing, went to beijing University for 8 weeks, we got enrolled in a special program where they taught in English, all the professors were fluent in english because they all got their Phd from the states. So the classes were pretty straight forward. In beijing, i did the normal, visited the tourist locations, took tons of pictures, a few thousand to be exact. Beijing was incredible for me, because for some reasons, i instantly clicked with the locals, and we did the normal things, go out and have fun, I learned so much more about China thru my friends than i could ever learn in class. Surprisingly, there are more foreigners in Beijing than shanghai. Before i moved on to shanghai, i travelled to TsingTao (TsingTao beer) for a week, Tsingtao reminds me of Hong Kong, not the skyscrapers but the environment, the roads. It's really nice, i suggest anyone to go by tsingtao if you have a chance, you only need to stay there for two days to see all its' main points.

Later on, I headed to Shanghai, Shanghai very such a odd city, it wasnt't my first time in shanghai, but this is the first time i actually got to know the city and with current rapid change in China, maps for each city has to be updated on a yearly basis. Anyways, Shanghai was off because there are some places where it's incrediblely advance, like in some taxis, there are lcd moniitors in the backseat adn the front seat, and there are Merrcedes benz taxis as well. But on the other hand, there are some places just 5 mins walking distance from The Bund (the most attractive tourist site in shanghai) where all they had were tenements, century old tenements. I stayed in shanghai for 8 weeks as well, went to jiaotong university, didn't have a chance to meet any local friends because i was devoting most of my time for my relatives and other studying abroad buddies.

I liked beijing more than shanghai, but the weather and pollution in beijing is just horrible, i feel like i've taken 5 years of my lifespan.

after shanghai, i left for hong kong, Hong kong is just hong kong, pros and cons.

OH yeah, in between, i went to a over 10 cities in China.

my most memorable moment in china was when i went to my hometown village, wenzhou, it looked liked one of those vacant midwest towns where the wind breezes as i stepped off the boat.
My second most memorable moment was visiting the nanjing massacre in nanjing, i can't recall a sadder moment in my life.

I'll post some photos soon.

Sounds like you had a BLAST, Eddy :) I have yet to visit Asia ever since I left it at age 2.

I've noticed you took off the link to your pictures :) Can't wait to see them hehehe...

So, now that your girlfriend is in the USA, you guys ARE spending time together now, no?

EDIT: Never mind. You posted the pictures in another thread: http://www.seascarsdale.com/China
